I went to the Island house with my daughter in Feb. It was so great! I had a great time and so did my daughter. Out in the water with the other lady guest was a fun time, getting to know everyone and just enjoying our day. This is the kind of place I want to go back to and I will soon. Thank you to the staff also for making us feel so welcome.

This a wonderful place! It is an older, nostalgic building that has been wonderfully updated! Right on a beautiful beach and close to some great restaurants. I was a little worried about sleeping on a murphy bed, but it was great. The mattress was super comfortable and it was very easy to pull it down at night. If I vacation in that area again, I will definitely be staying here!

This is the perfect place to do nothing. My life is hectic and i rarely have the time to just relax. Kicking back with a good book on the balcony overlooking the gulf is just what the doctor ordered to help unwind. The rooms are nice and very reasonably priced for being right on the beach. The staff is exceptional without being intrusive. This was our second trip here and you can be sure we'll be back again.

I found my beach house. I was looking for an economic, yet pretty place to stay. I found it! Is like a home away at the beach. The place is clean, smells good. Stacy is wonderful. Rented the small hotel room with my daughter, and two grandsons. Everything in the room is perfectly accommodated. I will definitely go back again. I would recommend to wear beach shoes there are billions of shells. I can tell people now that I have a Beach House :)

The water and resort are both beautiful! We loved getting to know the staff and the other guests as well. It is wonderfully maintained and very clean. We even got to see a baby sea turtle! Quite a memorable vacation!

After having stayed at many other resorts on the Key throughout the past few decades, THIS IS OUR NEW FAVORITE!
It is very well maintained and very clean, management is AWESOME and always available, and the detailed, well-appointed, and expansive Gulf access is much nicer than neighboring resorts. Owners/Managers have obviously reinvested throughout this property to keep it updated.
We stayed in Unit 15 ("motel room") on the second floor, and it was BEAUTIFUL. Bright, recently renovated, WONDERFUL bathroom/shower, refrigerator, microwave, all the necessities. Beds were very comfortable, and the bedding was awesome as well. I'm a clean freak, and this place was PERFECT! We'll be back, for a longer stay next time!!

Venita and I loved Island House. A simple, comfortable, friendly place right on a beautiful beach. During our December 2021 stay, we took long beach walks in the mornings and evenings, had restful lunches in our room mid-day, swam in the light surf a few times, enjoyed gorgeous sunsets with a cocktail every evening, and took short walks to a couple good restaurants for dinners. Two evenings we enjoyed the drum circle that took place on the neighboring public beach just before sunset. We were able to drive to the supermarket in maybe five minutes without getting on a major highway. Staff was great, other guests were friendly; we had everything we needed.

Robert and I had a wonderful time staying right on the beach at the Island House Motel! Our motel room #16 was a perfect fit for us on our short visit. We can’t wait to visit and spend more time! The Island House will be our get away Paradise from now on. Everything was very clean with all conveniences The rooms has everything you need. We would like to keep it a secret so that rooms will be available for us, but it is hard to not tell our friends and family about it! I wish I can give it more than 5 stars. Earl was very nice and helpful. We are planning to go back in August.

We enjoyed the sunsets together with all the folks at the Island House, sharing restaurant, places of interest, and activities to check out. My husband joined another guest for a round of golf while we "girls" enjoyed the gulf - what a win win!!! The island House is “our special place”. It is very quaint and inviting. Listening the the ocean at night with the screened patio door open is so relaxing. We love the small details such as: really nice lounge chairs they let you carry down to the beach, the fact that from the moment you step out of your room you are on the sandy beach. The staff are so friendly and treat you like family. We met a few people and enjoyed drinks and corn hole. The restaurants such as The Breakfast Cottage in Nokomis and Luna’s in Venice are favorites of ours. We have never found a place to go more special to us than the Island House. It was the vacation we got to rest and unwind in peace and serenity and it holds a special place in our heart. Can’t wait to visit again in October! Thanks Island House! 6/1/2020

We recently made our second trip to the IH, only this time we took the entire family. From the kids to their 88yo great-grandmother, everyone loved it. With all the places to choose from in Florida, why do we choose the IH? Well... not just because of the beautiful, relaxing, quaint, tranquil setting. Not just because of the gorgeous beach and crystal blue water. Not just because the rooms are cozy, homey and immaculate. But because it is our "little piece of heaven" and the management could not be more welcoming and accommodating. The ONLY problem with the IH is having to leave!

The Island House is our Get Away Paradise. It has it all: Friends, Fabulous water with Sunsets, Convenience to stores and just plain Peace and Quiet.
